On this particular Land Cruiser, we did not do a full restoration and did more mechanical maintenance than anything. The vehicle is sporting a Chevrolet 327 V8 along with a 4 speed Chevrolet truck transmission that was swapped into the vehicle in the late 80s along with a Ford 9″ rear axle. We believe the truck was modified in the ’80s due to all the accessories it had and also judging by the age showing on all the parts. We performed tons of mechanical maintenance, a shackle suspension lift, chassis restoration and rustproofing, full interior restoration, bumper restoration, grill restoration with a custom touch, a nice set of factory wheels with hubcaps and a set of oversized BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires for an aggressive look. The vehicle lives most of its life on Martha’s Vineyard as an all-around summer vehicle. Some of its custom touches such as the pink pinstripe wheels and Toyota grille set it apart from all the other Land Cruisers on the island, making it stand out. Life’s too short to drive boring cars!
